We have a variety of volunteer opportunities at Community Benefit Tree and are certain that we can find something that is just right for you. If you are interested in volunteering, but not sure what area you’d like to help us with, we have a full listing of all of the different volunteer opportunities available to you.

Opportunities

Events/Celebrations

Celebration Event Staff

Volunteer at Celebration of Support events assisting with raffles, silent auctions, kids games, bake sale, serving food, grilling, etc. Volunteer opportunities would depend on the day of the event. Volunteer by yourself, as a family, as a group from church, school, civic club or through work.

Qualifications: Love to help others and work with others to support someone in need!
Time Commitment: You choose event and what area and time you would like to help.
Age: 5 and up (age 5-12 must be accompanied by an adult)

Celebration Team Coach

Coaches play a key role in instructing the Celebration of Support team on the programs and tools Community Benefit Tree has to assist in having a successful event. Lead the family/friends of the recipient in the right planning direction.

Qualifications: Love planning events. Like to teach others. Willingness to travel some distance. Time to help others.  Training is required.
Time commitment: 10 to 15 hours per month.
Age: 18 and older

Photographer/Videographer

Take pictures and/or video at Celebration of Support events. Location of events will vary. Events are usually on a Saturday or Sunday.

Time commitment: Pick and choose which events you are able to assist with. (Must have your own camera to use)

Celebration Event Decorator

Decorate at our fundraiser events! Each fundraiser has its own theme which is unique to the individual and the CBT fundraiser. You can do this as a group or you can do this as an individual and partner with the planning team. Decorations can be supplied by CBT, you can donate them or you can find a business to donate the supplies.

Qualifications: Love to decorate and be creative! An understanding that decorating helps lift the mood of the event and the spirit of the family and event attendees!
Time Commitment: Choose which events to decorate. We usually have 1-2 events per month. Plus some planning hours with the team putting on the event.
Age: 13 and up

Gift Basketeer/Scrapbooker

Arrange gift baskets and/or scrapbook-themed gift certificate frames for the silent auction and raffles for the events.

Qualifications: Knowledge of arranging and wrapping gift baskets and scrapbooking would be helpful but will train.
Time Commitment: Choose the events you wish to help. We usually have 1-2 events per month. Time to prepare items will vary depending on event size.
Age: 13 and up

Support Staff

Office Assistant

Light clerical work, computer-related projects, filing, assists in preparing for event projects and answering phones.

Qualifications: Willingness to travel to office in Kaukauna. Knowledge of computer helpful.
Time Commitment: Monday-Friday shifts 8 a.m.-12 p.m. or 12 p.m.- 4 p.m.
Age: 18 and up

Website Designer/Social Media Support

Design/support our website and social media sites.

Qualifications: Website design experience a must. Familiarity with all social media outlets desired.
Time Commitment: 4-8 hours per week depending on need.
Age: 16 and up

Supply Coordinator

The CBT Facility is where we store the event supplies and equipment to assist in the fundraiser events.

Duties include: management of supply and equipment rental, oversee inventory, manage volunteers at the supply facility, clean and organize the facility, and solicit or order supplies.
Qualifications: Management and organizational skills and willing to travel to the supply facility in Kimberly. Some lifting required.
Bonus: If you have experience in woodwork, building and/or miscellaneous repairs.
Time Commitment: 4-8 hours per week, days/times may vary.
Age: 18 and up

Supply Assistant

The CBT Facility is where we store the event supplies and equipment to assist in the fundraiser events.

Duties include: Assist in cleaning, organizing, and keeping inventory of items at the CBT supply facility. Some lifting required.
Qualifications: Willing to travel to the facility in Kimberly. Work in a group or as an individual.
Time Commitment: 4-8 hours per week, days/times may vary.
Age: 13 and up

Handyman/Woodworker

We have equipment we use at each of our fundraisers that at times needs to be repaired, painted or created. We are in need of individuals who are good with fixing things and/or good with building/working with wood. Work along with the supply facility for repairs and updates.

Time Commitment: as needed for specific projects/repairs.
Age: 13 and up (with parent)

Event Fundraising Planning Teams

Community Benefit Tree holds four fundraising events per year to bring in funds and supplies to better serve our CBT program recipients. We have multiple volunteer opportunities available to serve on our fundraising planning teams. These opportunities are a fun way to give back to your community by joining a team to plan our next fundraising event!

Event Planner

To serve on one of our four fundraising planning teams:

  • Hunt for the Gold- in March- St Patty’s scavenger hunt
  • Larry Wolfinger Charity Golf Outing- in July- golf outing
  • Celebration Walk- in July- walk-a-thon
  • LIFE Celebration Night- in November- fundraiser playing a life-size game of LIFE
  • Event Volunteer for the day of fundraiser

Leadership Volunteer Opportunities

Board  Team Member

The Board Council serves as a critical community champion of the Community Benefit Tree. Members of the Board Council share their gifts in service to our mission by providing our organization with their professional expertise; their diverse knowledge of constituent perspectives; their connections, resources, colleagues or peers; their philanthropic support or other forms of needed assistance. The Board Council has no governing function within the organization.

Join a Board Team:

  • Marketing/Fundraising Team-assist with marketing and fundraising.
  • Development/Strategic Planning Team- assist with strategic future planning of the organization.
  • Governance/Internal Operations Team- assist with board governance and internal operations.
  • Hope Team- assist in ways to help the families who are struggling with a medical crisis.

Review Team- assist in the application process and financial sustainability plan.

Age: 21 and up

Board of Director

To serve on the Board as a voting member, to develop policies, procedures and regulations for the operation of Community Benefit Tree Inc., to monitor finances of the organization, its programs and performance, and secure and ensure adequate funds to support the operations. TERM: Two years with expected regular meeting attendance – Meetings are scheduled on the third Tuesday of each month from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. If interested a separate application will need to be filled out.

Age: 18 and up
