Overview

Janet (Powell) Spaude is a 69 year old widow of Steve, mother of two daughters. She is suffering from stage 4 lung cancer, which has metastasized to her brain. She was diagnosed a little over a year ago. She began chemo treatments soon after her diagnosis, and was told, chemo is what will keep her alive. Current treatments are keeping the cancer at bay. The expense of these on-going treatments has put a great burden on her only source of income, which is her social security. With your help, she will be able to explore other options and treatments, and put this horrible cancer into remission. A chance for Janet to improve her quality of life and give her a new sense of purpose.

“Life Begins in Janet's Garden” Fund will help assist with medical and living expenses. To help raise the funds, we are being assisted by Community Benefit Tree Inc. Your donation will be tax deductible. At this time we ask for any contributions you are able to make out to “Life Begins in Janet's Garden” Fund, or in donations of gas, grocery, or gift cards. Each donation will be greatly appreciated and recognized on the Community Benefit Tree's Website. Janet loved spending time in her yard and ower garden. It was always picture perfect in every season. Janet no longer is able to get out and take care of her yard, which once was her pride and joy. It would be a time for her to heal and get back out there again!
“The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.” Life began in a Garden!
