Kirk Kehl is a 47 year old father to five children ages 23, 21, 10, 4 and 3. He has been married to his wife Cristina since 2009. They have been members and volunteers of Appleton Alliance Church since 2009 and believe all things are possible through Jesus Christ. Kirk is an assembler on first shift at Oshkosh Corporation. On June 24, 2017. Kirk was a passenger in a Dodge Neon that was rear-ended at highway speed by a GMC truck breaking his neck in two places, causing traumatic brain injury and paralysis among other health concerns. Kirk continues to be dependent on others for all areas of care. He is bound to a bed and wheelchair that he is unable to control on his own.
Despite having every form of insurance we thought necessary nothing prepared us for the devastation this accident has caused. Cristina continues to work full time while raising their three youngest children, and Kirks future is unknown but the goal is to return him home. In order to do this we need your help. Kirk and Cristina own a home in Hortonville that will require remodeling to accommodate Kirks needs. He will require a handicap vehicle for transportation. With insurance premiums, deductibles, out-of-pocket expenses, accumulating medical expenses and cost of living as well as a loss of Kirk’s income we are turning to all of you to sustain a path of recovery and eventually a life at home with his family.
